It is with deep regret that I have to report that Miss Janet Lyn McTiernan passed away on Tuesday at 10:45 PM, August 24, 1999. Janet would have been 29 years old on the 28 September 1999.
Janet was one of the most incredible, smart, gifted, compassionate people I have ever met. I truly regret all the times I was unable to meet with her in Scranton because of scheduling conflicts and me being too busy 'living my life'. The phrase "She didn't have a mean bone in her body", I believe, originated with her. It is a great shock to hear what happened, and I pray she is now at peace.
